新竹通 is a free Android application designed by the Hsinchu City Government to enhance city services through a user-friendly interface. Launching on August 14, 2025, it focuses on integrating essential services into a single platform, making it easier for citizens to access various municipal functions. The app features a digital wallet concept, combining secure digital identity verification with a digital citizen card for streamlined access to services.
The application offers six main service areas: Life Information, which provides real-time notifications and personalized updates; Municipal Services for reporting issues and accessing city inquiries; Traffic Information for public transport updates; Diverse Payment options for quick transactions; Health Services for convenient vaccine appointments; and Library Services for online borrowing and reminders. Overall, 新竹通 aims to create a smarter city experience and improve the convenience of municipal services.
